Three years ago my small out-of-town acreage looked dreary and uninspiring.  The view from my kitchen window made me despondent.  A widow with no experience in gardening and no love of the outdoors, I knew I needed expert help.  It was my good fortune in finding Helen – passionate about plants and the environment; knowledgeable about local conditions; sympathetic to the needs of her clients.  With a family history in the industry she lives and loves her job.  She has taught me to work with nature and not against it, to embrace the possible and to enjoy the world outside.  Plants that my late husband and I had loved did not manage the heavy soil so were replaced with more tolerant natives along with some tough exotics.  My herbs now thrive in a Helen designed pot at the front door – not at the back where for years I had unsuccessfully tried to grow them.  Rosellas and lorikeets visit the new birdbath and for the first time I delight in being outdoors. I used Eco Garden Design to help me make decisions about what native plants I could plant by my dam in the terrible soils of Beachmere…. my 20 dam savers have been in for a year now and flowering this Spring with no losses…. So happy with the results yet again. We first engaged Eco Garden Design to help us with the gardens after building a new home on acreage land in 2004.  These were extensive gardens that provided us with alot of pleasure.  We have since downsized and contacted Helen again to makeover the tired gardens at the new property.  So pleased with the workmanship.  Their professional team (including design services) completed our gardens in just three days without any issues.
